A little bit of ethnicity goes a long way. And since we’re talking about ethnic, I CANNOT be the only person who has noticed a massive bombarding of Indian prints in mainstream fashion! Dresses with Ikkat to combat the western Gingham, and embroideries with cute little Gujarati mirror work to trump the floral thread embroidery (courtesy Shein, Zaful etc). Not that I have anything against western trends. Y’all know I love my short skirts and cute lil’ dresses just as much as any other Jane Doe. But our Independence day and the upcoming Navratris/Durga Puja seems like as good a time as any to feel a little patriotic and appreciate (read obsess) with everything #MadeInIndia!
