Mikimoto and Assouline celebrated their new book, “The Pearl Necklace,” on Wednesday with an intimate party at Omar’s. Parker Posey compared her pearls with Allison Sarofim’s.

“The only thing constant is change. The pearl is the manifestation of a change and beauty,” Posey said.

Meanwhile, guests including Cynthia Rowley, Nolan Funk, Michele Hicks and Zuleikha Robinson were awestruck over the strand of pearls that Joe DiMaggio gave to Marilyn Monroe, which was on display.
