In this comparison of InMotion vs Pressable, we take a look at two excellent web hosting providers. InMotion Hosting has long been a favorite and one of my top recommendations for web hosting. And, they now have their Managed WordPress Hosting plans that are even more impressive when it comes to speed and performance. Meanwhile, Pressable focuses solely on WordPress and has become one of the better options if you’re looking for a great combination of value and features in a hosting plan. Let’s see how InMotion and Pressable match up and which one you should choose.

Website Speed and Performance
InMotion Hosting and Pressable both have optimized environments for WordPress sites. And, both provide excellent website speed and performance. InMotion has always provided great website performance, and now they’ve even improved more with their managed WordPress platform. In fact, InMotion posted faster overall website speed results than Pressable.
So, while Pressable delivers impressive speed, InMotion, with their Max Speed Zones and advanced caching actually outperformed them. For website speed and performance, InMotion is the winner here.
Website Staging
Neither InMotion or Pressable includes a true website staging environment. With InMotion, you do get staging with the BoldGrid website builder. However, it isn’t a full staging platform. You can basically test changes to pages and move them to production, but you can’t take a current copy of your live site and move it to staging. With Pressable, you can put your website in either development or production mode, with your caching and content delivery network disabled during development. But again, it’s not a true staging platform.
For website staging, we’ll give InMotion a slight edge due to the staging in BoldGrid.
Data Backup and Restore
InMotion Hosting provides automated daily backups. And, you can also schedule website backups if you use the BoldGrid website builder. With Pressable, you either have to create an account with Amazon or Rackspace, or use Jetpack. Personally, I like the way InMotion provides automatic data backup without you needing an outside account. And, I also like the way you have a number of options for scheduling backups with BoldGrid. For those reasons, InMotion is the winner in this category.
Customer Support
The customer support at both InMotion Hosting and Pressable is excellent. For many years, I’ve enjoyed the support I’ve received from the InMotion team. And, InMotion provides the most access to support that I’ve experienced. They offer 24×7 support via phone, email, or live chat. And, you can also access support via Skype.
Although Pressable also provides expert WordPress support, they currently don’t offer 24×7 live chat support. Therefore, in this category InMotion Hosting is the winner.

Recommendation
InMotion Hosting and Pressable are both good choices for those looking for high value in a managed WordPress hosting plan. Based on the results above and because they are well-suited for all types of WordPress sites, I would recommend InMotion in most cases. The one area where Pressable might have the advantage is with agencies that need features such as website cloning or collaborator access.
However in this comparison, for most websites InMotion Hosting is the winner. See our InMotion Managed WordPress Hosting review ratings below.
