The fundraising
Congratulations to Helga Curtis for winning our charity raffle, a pair of designer shoes (she’s picked a pair of stunning Jimmy Choo Anouk Lace pumps – modelled by Cara Frew on our photo) from www.highheelhierarchy.com.
Both Cara Frew and I are super grateful to everyone who has donated to us.
I met Cara by chance and High Heel Hierarchy is currently her official sponsor at the Miss Universe GB 2018 competition where she is a finalist. She is involved in numerous fundraising, and we had decided to organize one together. And what a success!

Where is your money going
We are thrilled to have raised £1005, and 100% of the proceeds will go to ‘A-sisterhood’ – a non-profit organisation that supports, empowers and protects the position of women worldwide. More information can be found on their website: www.a-sisterhood.org.uk

These are the 4 charities they support:
• National Female Genital Mutilation Centre – a UK charity which is supported by Barnardos which is working to see the end of this crime against women by 2030. http://nationalfgmcentre.org.uk

• Stop Acid Attacks – a charity in India which helps women who have survived acid violence http://chhanv.org/

• Llamau – A Wales based charity for the homeless which has special programmes to support women https://www.llamau.org.uk

• The Black Mambas – South Africa’s first all-female anti-poaching unit protecting the rhino http://www.blackmambas.org

The funds will be presented to the A-Sisterhood a few days before the Miss Universe contest which will take place on the 14th July 2018.
