Overall the longer committed plans have better benefits, but the shorter duration plans also come with few discounts.

Features:

CyberGhost provides most of the essential features of a VPN service. Some of the key features included are- hiding IP, kill switch, no logs, supports simultaneous connections to name a few.

The supported protocols are L2TP/IPsec, OpenVPN, PPTP. Multiple platforms such as Linux, Windows, Mac, iOS, Routers, and Android are supported

CyberGhost has more than 1800 servers worldwide and is spread across more than 60 countries. It allows simultaneous connections on up to 7 devices for paid plans.

It supports multiple payment options. This includes well-known and commonly used digital wallets and also bitcoins.

There are some additional features included such Block Ads. Others included are block malicious contents which has an inbuilt malware blocker.

CyberGhost also has services to block online tracking. This feature blocks online tracking by removing the website elements that contain tracking code.

This allows easy to use P2P torrenting and streaming with good bandwidth support, though this is blocked on certain free services. For Netflix, CyberGhost has dedicated server, which keeps changing IP and provides a seamless connection.

Speed and Performance:

In terms of speed and performance, CyberGhost provides good metrics. Though there is some difference you would find between a free and a paid service. Still, this is good enough and fast.

The speeds are varying across different server locations. Clearly, Europe is a differentiator and has substantial performance as compared to others.

Overall though in certain cases, the speed is average or below average, still in most cases CyberGhost keeps up a high-speed metrics and is better than many of its competitors.

CyberGhost VPN Cons:

Lacks location diversification:

By and large, CyberGhost has a good number of servers. Certain regions such as the United States has 363 servers. Similarly, Germany has 256 servers.

While there is a good number of servers in a certain location, I found that certain regions lack servers. For some reason, the diversification of servers is limited.

Certain regions have servers as less as 4 to 10. The server distribution across Asia and Latin America is sparse.

Generally speaking, their servers are good in number around Europe and United States.

CONCLUSION:

For its VPN services, yes I do recommend CyberGhost.

On the whole, CyberGhost stands to fulfill your VPN requirement. Not only do they ensure privacy and anonymity, but also provide a whole range of other additional services.

Apart from the one downside I mentioned, there is nothing that is specifically bad about CyberGhost. Even this would only impact you if you are trying to access a region where the servers are less.

Be it their customer support or speed or pricing model, everything is good enough for users to try it out. Additionally, their easy setup and usage make it user-friendly.

Finally, yes you do get much more than what you pay for. It’s one of the VPN services that can easily fit your budget even if you want to use a paid version instead of a free version.
