Painting Classic Fishing Beats – Ballindalloch Castle Estate

Painting Classic Fishing Beats - Ballindalloch Castle Estate - As a sporting artist much of the year is spent painting game bird subjects, but as the seasons turn into Spring paintings start to focus on other subjects. One of the joys of living on Speyside, Scotland is the wonderful fishing estates that run up the length of the Spey, one of the finest  Salmon fishing rivers in the world.

Over the years I have paintings commissions for numerous clients at Tulchan Estate, Castle Grant, Delfur and one of my favourites Ballindalloch Castle Estate. Paintings can take the form of clients with their catch, on the river and landscapes of the river in all its glory through the season that runs from February to October. Worked in classic oil paint the painting can be the perfect way of capturing your time on the river.

If you are up to fish on the Spey and would like to discuss a commission we would love to hear from you with your ideas.

Situated at the heart of Speyside in the northeast of Scotland, Ballindalloch Estate is a diverse and forward-thinking business owned and managed by the Macpherson-Grant family. As a famous Highland sporting estate, they welcome guests from around the world to enjoy excellent fly-fishing on the Rivers Spey and Avon, as well as pheasant and grouse shooting and world renowned roe stalking.
