A couple of days ago I resigned.

The new position was something out of the blue, something that I hadn't planned for and haven't even though of just two weeks ago. The job function is different from what I have traditionally done, but it's something I've been doing on the side for several years already.

An ideal job should be "lots of money, little to do, and close to home". My new job is definitely closer (a lot closer!) to home, will generate more money, and we'll have to see about the "little to do" part.

All in all, I am happy now. Didn't realize I'd get this happy.
