Microsoft Xbox E3 2019 Conference Break Down

Microsoft just concluded their E3 2019 Xbox conference, which saw the company reveal more information regarding project Scarlet along with a healthy dose of new games and features coming to the Xbox family of consoles and services.

The conference kicked off with a Trailer for the game The Outer Worlds, with a release date set for October 28 2019. The game looks like it borrows elements of Borderlands and Fable, putting them together, in one, explosive package.

Ninja Theory got some spotlight next, officially revealing their latest project, Bleeding Edge. Readers interested in the game can look forward to a technical Alpha this June 27.

A new trailer for Ori and the Will of the Wisps series was shown off with a new trailer. The short gameplay sequences shown featured the titular hero facing off against a giant glowing spider. The game will be released on February 11, 2020.

Minecraft fans got a look at a new game within the ever-expanding Minecraft universe. The game, which features an isometric camera will be an ARPG called Minecraft Dungeons.

Phill Spencer took to the stage, welcoming the press and online audience to the show, before jumping into a new trailer for the just-announced Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, which will release this November 15 2019.

A world premiere for a Blaire Witch game was shown off, the title seems to borrow design elements from Silent Hill and Outlast.

A new trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 was shown. The cinematic trailer highlighted some of the story elements players can expect when the game launches, including the surprise inclusion of Keanu Reeves, who took to the stage, promptly following the trailer.

Reeves, after calming the audience pointed towards the screen, for another, short trailer which ended with the release date for the game, which will launch April 16 2020.

A world premiere for Spiritfarer, which features exploratory gameplay in a new colour palette was shown.

A trailer for the Battletoads reboot was up next. The trailer finally revealed actual gameplay for the game, which appears to be going for a heavily stylized cartoonish approach.

A trailer for the game Legend of Wright, which features a hand-drawn approach took to the stage. the game blends 3D and 2D elements together, giving players different ways to approach the game world.

A sizzle reel of all the new and original games coming to ID@ Xbox was given the spotlight. Sarah Bond, head of Xbox, took to the stage announcing that all the games featured in the reel will be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

New games coming to the pass include Batman: Arkham Knight, Metro Exodus, Hollow Knight and Borderlands the Handsome Collection. The entire Halo: The MasterChief Collection will be available on Xbox Games Pass, with the PC BETA starting today.

As a new tier, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will include Xbox Game Pass for Console, Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass for PC, for no addtional charge.

A world premiere trailer that featured in-game graphics for the latest Flight Simulator game was shown, featuring photo-realistic graphics featuring different iconic global destinations.

An Age of Empires II Remaster trailer was shown, featuring the same classic gameplay with a brand new coat of paint.

Wasteland 3 got a reveal trailer, which will be set in a post-apocalyptic Colorado.

Double Fine Productions will be joining Microsoft as the latest company to be joining Microsoft’s Worldwide Studios. Tim Schafer, Double Fine’s Head, took to the stage, bringing with him a new trailer for Psychonauts 2.

A world premiere for the latest entry into the LEGO Star Wars game was shown, Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The game will span all 9 feature films.

A trailer for the new Dragon Ball Action RPG was shown off, which finally got a proper name. Dragonball z: Kakarot.

A world premiere for the game 12 Minutes was up next, the game will be an interactive thriller that deals with time anomalies.

The game, Way to the Woods was shown next. The game looks like a lighthearted take on a post-apocalyptic world, where animals have taken over in a cell-shaded world.

Gears of War 5 got a teaser trailer before Rod Fergusson from The Coalition took to the stage, announcing that Gears 5 will release on September 5 2020. After a short stage transition, audiences got their first looks at Gears 5, specifically a new three-player co-op mode called Escape. Pre-ordering the game before September will unlock a special Terminator Dark Fate multiplayer skin for use within Gears of War 5.

The Xbox One Elite Controller will be receiving a new upgrade in a series 2 model. The controller can be pre-ordered from the official Xbox website.

Techland’s Dying Light 2 got a new trailer. The game will be set for release sometime in 2020.

Star Wars isn’t the only property getting a LEGO makeover. Forza Horizon 4 will be getting an expansion based on the popular building toy, with LEGO Speed Champions, which will launch later this week.

A trailer for the Gears of War Funko Pop crossover was shown. The game will be a smaller mobile release, featuring what looks like RTS elements with graphics reminiscent of both Gears of War and the popular toyline.

State of Decay 2 saw a trailer drop for its latest expansion Heartland, which is available now and through Xbox Games Pass.

A world premiere for Phantasy Star Online 2’s North American debut was shown off. The game will be free to play on Xbox One and PC, launching sometime in 2020.

Borderlands fans got another look at the third major entry into the series with a new trailer, featuring Lilith. The trailer ended with the announcement of new Borderlands 2 DLC coming to the title which will prepare players for the third entry into series.

George R. R Martin and FromSoftware’s latest project, finally got officially unveiled as Elden Ring.

Phil Spencer returned to the stage to reveal the next generation of Xbox and Xcloud streaming. Console streaming will turn your own Xbox One to a streaming platform, allowing players to stream their games anywhere they like. This feature will launch sometime in 2020.

The next Xbox codenamed Xbox Scarlett will see release Holiday 2020 alongside Halo Infinite.

The Microsoft show ended with a look at Halo Infinite, featuring a new unnamed character who finds the Master Chief drifting along in space. Halo Infinite will launch with Xbox Scarlett Holiday 2020.
