The Elder Scrolls VI Announced At E3 2018

We’ve finally been given an announcement for Bethesda’s new Elder Scrolls game. The sixth in the series, the appropriately called Elder Scrolls VI has finally been confirmed with a trailer at E3 2018.

When most of their E3 was dedicated to Fallout 76 News, they upped the anti by sneaking in a trailer for the game, which we were not expecting.

So far they haven’t told us a lot else about the game, such as when or where it will be set. With no confirmation of a release date, we simply know the game IS under development.

Elder Scrolls VI Trailer:

When Is The Release Date?

Back in 2016 and into 2017 the official line of the company was that the game wasn’t being worked on.

We know for one thing that the game won’t be coming until after Starfield, another new game, which could put the release of the next chapter in Tamriel years away.

Where Will It Be Set?

At this point we’ve not been given any confirmation about this, so your guess is as good as ours, but High Rock, Hammerfell, Morrowind, Cyrodiil, and Skyrim have all been covered.

In the Trailer we can see that the climate looks humid, hot and perhaps even somewhat tropical. So could The Elder Scrolls 6 be set in Black Marsh? The Homeland of the Argonians. Perhaps, but in the trailer we don’t see a lot of swamp. That being said, the climate matches.

The game could equally be set in Summerset Isle, Valenwood or Elsweyr. There’s also nothing other than previous titles to suggest that it won’t be set somewhere we’ve already seen.

This article will be updated as we find out more.
