Lovers in Space?

Tags: played ship shoot

Recently I Played a game called Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, it’s quite a quirky little game so I decided I would share it with you all. In this game you pick your little alien avatar and off you go into space in your ship, your main aim being to rescue the little bunnies that have been taken and locked up in little cages on several different planets. Naturally you won’t just be able to take the little critters, as soon as you shoot their cage an alarm will be raised and plenty of enemies will appear to try and stop you from achieving your goal. There are a wide variety of enemies, some requiring different tactics than others to beat them down.

To begin with you have a round ship with 4 guns located at top, right, bottom and left. You have a yellow console that controls a one shot cannon that rotates (so you have to time it just right when you decide to shoot it!) and you have a little blue console that allows you to rotate your shield. The shield is a major part of your defenses and you will probably find that you spend alot of time at that console. In the center is where you control your thrusters and the little TV looking thing is your map. All consoles can be upgraded except the map, through-out the game you will receive gifts and they can be used to power up an area of your choice, different gifts result in different upgrade results. For example if you upgrade a gun with a power gem it will shoot faster and with more bullets, if you upgrade it with a metal gem it would become a spiky ball that you can swing out. You can also unlock different ships and different characters to play as.

The great thing about this game is that it’s a couch co-op for up to 4 players! These type of games seem to be a rare find lately especially to find one that is enjoyable to play and has replay value. I played this game with just 2 players and it was a frantic scramble back and forth to the consoles but still enjoyable. You can play it as a 1 player, the game will give you a trusty pet that you can switch to and control at any time. Unfortunately I’ve not played it on my own so don’t know much more about that mode! Just below you will find my gameplay, I just play for fun so it is just casual, honest gameplay. I would suggest that anyone looking for a fun little game to while away Sunday afternoon with family or friends should definitely give this one a go, so why not go and have a little watch of the video down below and tell us what you think!

PS. These are all my own views! I am not a game reviewer – these are just my humble thoughts and opinions.
