PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Announced On Xbox as “Console Launch Exclusive”

Bluehole, Inc., announced today at the Microsoft press conference at E3 2017 that PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, the first standalone Battle Royale video game with more than three million units sold on Steam, will launch “exclusively” on Xbox One’s Game Preview Program later this year. The final game will launch in 2018 across the Xbox One family of devices, which includes Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X.

For those of you that might be upset that PUBG is not coming to PS4, I just want to point out that at the beginning of the announcement they said that it would be a “console launch exclusive,” which historically implies that it will initially be exclusive to the Xbox platform, but will eventually be released on other consoles.
