Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age – What We Know So Far

Square Enix finally announced the launch dates for Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age, the remastered version of Final Fantasy XII. North America and Europe will get access to the game first, on July 11. On the other hand, Japan and the rest of Asia will get the game on July 13.

Here are 35 minutes of gameplay

If you’re too lazy to watch the entire thing, the exact timings for gameplay footage are as follows:

  • 33:45 to 55:35
  • 58:05 to 1:11:03

Differences between the remaster and the original

Here’s a list of what’s changed:

  • Latest-generation high-definition graphical capabilities, including characters and movie scenes, fully remastered in high definition.
  • Option to switch between the original and the newly remastered soundtrack
  • A new trial mode where players can take on monsters and enemies in up to 100 successive battles.
  • Modern gameplay advancements including PlayStation 4 system trophy support and share functionalities, auto-save and shortened loading times.
  • An endless amount of gameplay and adventure! From hunts, battles, to mini-games, and more

Square Enix also released a new 2-minute trailer. The trailer showcases the newly recorded background music, a high-speed mode, and an auto-save feature. It also shows the 12-job Zodiac job system, and more!
