Chunky Oven Chips

Chunky homemade Potato Chips baked in the oven. Perfect side dish for homemade burgers or just about anything else!

Serves: 3-4
Ingredients
  • 1kg Potatoes (about 4 large), peeled
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Heat the oven to its highest setting and bring a pot of water to the boil.
  2. Cut each potato into 1cm-wide slices, and then into 1cm thick sticks.
  3. Place the potato chips into the boiling water and blanch for 3 minutes. Drain well.
  4. Shake the potatoes out onto a roasting pan and drizzle with oil. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper and mix well, making sure that each potato chip is evenly coated.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes (turning at least once), or until the potato chips are golden brown and crisp.
