Hours before the Winter Olympics were set to open in Vancouver, Nodar Kumaritashvili, 21, a Georgian luge competitor died after a horrific accident during training on Friday.  He was such an up and coming olympian and everyone was shocked to hear that he had a crash during rehearsals.  You don’t think that these games could be so dangerous but they can and we must appreciate them even more because they are risking their lives.
