Tonight, CBS has the series Premiere of Instinct, FOX has the fifth spring season premiere of Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the fourth spring season premiere of The Last Man on Earth, and NBC has the third season premiere of Little Big Shots and the series premiere of Genius Junior.

Over on cable, BYUtv has the series premiere of Hetty Feather, Lifetime has the TV movie premiere of The Midwife’s Deception, LMN has the second season premiere of Doctor Foster, and Showtime has the first season finale of The Chi.

On streaming, as of this morning, CBS All Access has The Good Fight S.2 Ep.3 and Netflix has The Joel McHale Show With Joel McHale S.1 Ep.5.

Next Sunday, FX has the series premiere of Trust, HBO has the fifth season premiere of Silicon Valley and the series premiere of Barry, PBS has the seventh season premiere of Call the Midwife and Showtime has the third season premiere of Billions.

Counterpart (Starz): New. Howard tries to stop something. Howard and Emily go after Kaspar. Plays again later two times. Last week’s episode, “Love the Lie,” replays right before.

Ash vs. Evil Dead (Starz): New. “Unfinished Business.” Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later two times.

Timeless (NBC): New. The team heads to the 1950s to find that a famous race car driver is a Rittenhouse sleeper agent out to hurt the automobile industry.

The Simpsons (FOX): New. Homer is accused of stealing a painting and an old detective is the only person that can figure out what really happened.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (FOX): New. Holt and Jake work to protect Kevin after Seamus makes a threat, while the rest of the squad works to solve the case.

Homeland (Showtime): New. Saul makes contact with someone from his past. Wellington deals with a problem. Carrie gets some results. Plays again later two times.

Madam Secretary (CBS): New. Jay and Kat have to come up with a new plan when the country they are trying to get people out of closes its border.

Other Options

• The Chi (Showtime): Season Finale. Ronnie deals with the past. Emmett goes after custody. Plays twice and again later. The previous nine episodes replay earlier today.
• Deception (ABC): New. Cameron helps on a case involving a deadly reality show while still pursuing the person that framed his brother. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.
• Food Paradise (Travel Channel): New. Two new episodes play tonight. The best seafood places are profiled in the first and the best bowl dishes in the second. Both play again later. Six repeat episodes replay right before.
• Instinct (CBS): Series Premiere. A college professor works with a detective when his book seems to be a clue to solving the case. While I really like Alan Cumming (The Good Wife), I didn’t really buy him in this role once we fully learn his character’s backstory. But, beyond that this was a rough first outing. Will you be checking this one out tonight?
• NCIS: Los Angeles (CBS): New. Callen and Sam need help from Granger’s daughter to solve a case.
• Private Eyes (ION): New. “Karaoke Confidential.”
• Strike Back: Retribution (MoMAX): Repeat. This past Friday’s sixth episode, “Episode 7,” replays. Runs 50 minutes.
