mother! was by far the clear winner!

With an era full of reboots, sequels & adaptions, it’s refreshing to see an original film such as mother! in the cinemas. Due to its great cast, consisting of Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, and its talented director, Darren Aronofsky, the anticipation for mother! was very high. However, mother! was nothing like the trailer showed it to be. Watching the trailer, you would think mother! was another home invasion film, but it’s much more.

mother! has received mixed reviews since its release and is probably the most polarising film of 2017 so far. It has even been compared to marmite as you either love it or hate it.

So, is mother! a bold and brilliant masterpiece which breaks boundaries? or is it an over the top, pretentious and frustrating film? Scroll down to see the different opinions we have received from our wonderful twitter followers.

We received various reviews on mother!, majority were positive and many loved that the film was daring, well-written and innovative. Many thought the performances were great and the film had stunning cinematography. However, some people were frustrated by the wild second half of the film and thought it ruined the whole movie for them.

Watching mother! is definitely an experience and whether you love it or hate it, it’s a film that will certainly get you talking.
