Roger Deakins whose work on Skyfall was widely acclaimed, was born on 24th May 1949 in Torquay.
Having worked with Sam Mendes on Jarhead and Revolutionary Road, he was invited by the director to work on the 23rd James Bond film. Skyfall was the first Bond film to be shot digitally.
