Adrift, Upgrade and Action Point are the big releases of the week, coming in between some major Summer players. They may seem slight (and I haven't seen Upgrade or Action Point yet), but there's some joy to be had in getting some smaller films to check out in the theaters. That also includes American Animals, a unique heist film that MoviePass is helping to distribute. I have reviews for some of these, along with the main home release of the week, Annihilation. Also here, my write-up for the series finale of The Americans. Lastly, this week's Solo podcast, which was a lot of fun to put together. Enjoy!
