Believer documentary billboards...

During Pride Month Imagine Dragons' straight, married father and front man Dan Reynolds explored how the Mormon church treats its LGBTQ members, questioning his faith amid rising suicide rates in teenagers in the state of Utah in the documentary Believer.
Daily Billboard remembers and can never forgive when the Mormon church funneled millions of dollars into the Yes on Prop 8 campaign in California to end same-sex marriage in 2008, affecting 18,000 gay couples already married.
After a hard legal battle and much pain and anguish caused to all the couples involved and those in the community striving for marriage equality and to be able to marry the ones they loved, Proposition 8 was overturned in June 2013.

At the same time the inappropriately named Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was struck down at the Supreme Court, finally making marriage federally equal for all in America.
These Believer documentary billboards with their Angel Moroni temple spires in the clasped rainbow coloured praying hands make for an eye-catching visual, almost like the hands are dripping in paint, or rainbow blood on their hands, and were snapped along Vine Street, La Brea Avenue and Pico Boulevard from June 25 to July 6, 2018.

With equality being eroded and challenged by draconian and oppressive religious freedom arguments of late, we have a long way to go to reconcile pride and faith in the U.S. whatever the organised religion.
