The wait is over Netflix enthusiast DISH customers!
DISH has become the first major instantly pay-TV provider in the U.S. to include the Netflix App into its set-top box. This app is available on DISH’s second-generation Hopper, the whole-home HD DVR. This app allows the customers to stream Netflix movies as well as popular shows, such as- “House of Cards” and “Orange is the New Black” from the same platform used to access the TV channels. The Netflix app will rollout to DISH customers round the clock.

Hopper customers can now find the same Netflix user interface found on most platforms. The app will be easily accessible from any channel. All one has to do is to click the blue button on the DISH remote and select the Netflix icon. One can also access the app from the Netflix icon on the Hopper main menu. New to Netflix? At present, the Netflix app is available on every second-generation Hopper set-top boxes connected to broadband. In near future, DISH expects to rollout this app to Joey, Super Joey as well as Wireless Joey clients. Moreover, in the future, titles available on Netflix can be included into the search functionality of live, recorded as well as Video on Demand programs for both the Hopper as well as DISH’s impending OTT service.
