It’s hard to believe that Princess Charlotte, 2, is due to start school this month, seems like yesterday the world was waiting for Duchess Kate, 35, to give birth to her daughter, now we are anticipating the arrival of her third children.
The Princess will be attending the Willcocks Nursery School, which, is just a short skip and a jump from Kensington Palace. The nursery school is a drastic difference from the Montessori daycare Prince George, 4, attended. To start, the family was living in Norfolk at the time Prince George attended nursery school. They have since returned to London as Kate is nearing her due date of George and Charlotte’s younger sibling.

There could be more than just location that factors in the decision that Princess Charlotte is not following her older brother’s footsteps. This could be a prediction of the different roles their parents and the palace want the two to have once they reach adulthood.

The Westacre Montesorri School George attended prides itself in instilling independence, freedom and social thinking, all traits one would want in a future heir to the throne. The school was also a bargain compared to the school Charlotte is attending.
The ritzy school is a whopping $4080 a semester and she won’t even be there the entire day. Prince William and Kate came to the decision last month that she would be placed at Willcocks. A source confirmed, “Charlotte will be attending five days a week in the mornings only.” They went on to say William and Kate loved the school, “because it’s a traditional nursery with high standards.”
Prince William has described his daughter as having a ‘sweet nature and kindness’. One of the school’s strong suits is developing sensitive values along with teaching a strong communication and language skills. What Charlotte can expect at her new school is learning French, taking pottery classes and experience the joys of poetry.
The Willcocks School said in a statement, “We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January.” Now that Kate is over the hump from hyperemesis gravidarum, she suffers from extreme morning sickness in early stages of pregnancy hopefully she can make it to Charlotte’s first day of nursery!
