Boruto episode 65 was the fight we have been waiting for! There really hasn't been any good fights so far. This is the first one. It's only good because of Naruto and Sasuke. Boruto didn't really do anything amazing. Honestly, this fight is better than the movie version. The movie version was kind of short. Let's get into our discussion of episode 65.
Sasuke and Naruto
Sasuke and Naruto were the stars of this episode. Like Boruto didn't contribute much. That's why many people like myself aren't a fan of his. The problem is he doesn't train enough. I have seen all the episodes of Boruto. He doesn't train nowhere near as hard as Naruto did. With Naruto, you saw actual improvement. You don't see that with Boruto. He hasn't done anything to impress me.
But that's why Boruto had to see Sasuke and Naruto fight. He never saw them ever. It's no wonder he didn't think his dad did much. Boruto needs something to aspire to. Yeah, he wanted to surpass his dad. But without seeing what he has to surpass it was hard to do. Now that he has seen it he knows now. He knows he has a lot of training to do.
I am so happy that Naruto and Sasuke haven't lost it. Like they sprang into action like it was nothing. It would have been nice to see the kages contribute more. They are kind of lackluster compared to their predecessors.
To be fair to Boruto his dad hasn't trained him. Naruto should have taken him under his wing way more often. I am disappointed that Naruto became a bad father.
Ootsutsuki Clan
Kaguya knew this day would come. That's why she took the actions she did in Naruto. She was preparing for the arrival of the rest of her clan. That was her intention at first. But then I think she eventually wanted the power for herself. This fight is basically a continuation of Kaguya's from Naruto. Even though this fight wasn't easy at all. Kaguya's was way worse. It was on a more epic scale.
Naruto and Boruto
I am glad that Naruto and Boruto finally understand each other. Boruto finally sees what his dad has been through. I think that's why Naruto had a hard time acknowledging his own son. Boruto didn't have it nowhere near as hard as he did. Boruto has it a lot easier. I think Boruto gets that now. Seeing Boruto actually try helps Naruto to understand too.
I think my favorite scene is hands down the Rasengan one. We get a flashback of all the people who have helped Naruto on his journey. We got to see Neiji again! I like that it was like a baton being passed to Boruto. I love that Boruto was getting teary-eyed. I really do want Boruto and Sarada to find out more about what their parents have been through.
