Fresh from the worldwide success of Ready Player One Steven Spielberg has been hired to produce, and possibly direct, the upcoming DC Comics movie Blackhawk.
Warner Bros, the same network that hired Spielberg to recently bring Ready Player One to the screen, has re-hired him for a movie adaptation of the DC Comic Blackhawk. The network currently have a plethora of DC Comics movies to bring to the screen as a part of the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) and Blackhawk is very high up on the list of the most anticipated ones.
Warner Bros announced that Steven Spielberg will produce and possibly direct. He will also reunite with his longtime collaborator David Koepp, who has worked alongside Spielberg on some of his biggest Blockbusters including Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds.

When the news was officially announced, Spielberg was quick to speak out about the project, also commending Warner Bros for their work on Ready Player One with him. “It was wonderful working with the team at Warner Bros. to bring Ready Player One to the screen. They bring a blend of passion and professionalism to everything they do and have a tremendous history in this genre. I am excited to reunite with them on Blackhawk.”
