So are these couples still married? Divorced? Rest assured as all of the spoilers and updates of your favorite MAFS couples are below.
Let’s jump right into it, shall we? It may not surprise you that Danielle DeGroot is now divorced from her husband Cody Knapek after a year of being married. They are the first to split from season 5 of Married At First Sight. “We want to thank the experts for their guidance and love throughout all of this. This process has only strengthened our belief that true love does exist!” read a statement from the duo. The sparks seem to have lasted only for a little while for these two. Shortly after their honeymoon, it all went downhill very fast, as quickly as it started. Though they both tried to work at the marriage, they just couldn’t re-ignite the spark nor did they ever consummate the marriage. In that regard, the divorce isn’t all that shocking.
Nate Duhon and Sheila Downs on the other hand seem to still have the fire burning. That’s great considering they tend to go from zero to a hundred in just a few short minutes. They seemed to fight a lot so may be that equals more make up sex, just saying! But we are really rooting for them as they do make a very cute couple. Not even Mama Duhon could put asunder! We can only hope that Sheila has grown on her. The couple has lots of photos on their social media pages which shows they are still together, though the process wasn’t easy. Nate, 26, a Chicago-based business manager is however grateful that he has this beautiful queen to call his wife. The couple has expressed a desire to expand their family but first they are considering a second wedding. Nate has also used the opportunity to start an online business called Vocaltee.
Recently Sheila took to her Instagram page to share a cute photo with Nate. She wrote following caption, “Between the wine & chocolate tasting, the new outfits my husband handpicked, the surprise dinner with my closest friends, the Duhon Edition of Price is Right, church with my family, the zombie escape room, & dinner with my parents, 32 was one of the BEST birthdays I’ve ever had!! Big shoutout to my sweet husband, @nateduey, who went above & beyond to make my weekend extra special I love you to Pluto and back because the moon is just too close! ❤️”. The final couple is Ashley Petta and Anthony D’amico and they are still going strong as well. No surprise here as this couple seemed to have it all together for the most part. They were arguably this season’s fan favorite couple, at least I know they were mine. One of the biggest issues they encountered was the decision of when to start a family. Ashley wanted to start a family asap, from the moment she said I do while Anthony wanted to enjoy his marriage and get to know his wife better.
Just recently Ashley took to her Instagram to share a cute pic with Anthony and she captioned the photo, “Date night! ”. A screenshot of that is below. And is that a baby bump we spot?! I guess we will all have to wait and see.
