After giving a breathtaking evening gown presentation during the preliminary competition, Maria Jose Lora became an instant favorite to win the crown. And come the finals night, Peru’s bet did not disappoint and went on winning the Miss Grand International 2017 crown.
Maria Jose Lora and the gown were a match made in heaven. It’s another story of a stunning design meeting the perfect girl.
Runner-up is Maria Ehren (Miss Universe 2017 Top 5)
Coming in second place is Thailand’s bet for Miss Universe, Maria Ehren.
Her evening gown performance during the finals of Miss Universe pageant was superb. She’s elegant and mesmerizing.
The gown design pays homage to the now popular Thai traditional dress. It’s in black as the country was in mourning due to the death of their beloved past king. The color, however, highlighted Maria’s slender figure and beautiful face.
Highly Commended is Kevin Liliana (Miss International 2017)
Indonesia’s first ever Miss International winner wore the exquisite sequinned dress with dramatic capes for additional impact.
Winning the crown was not shocking, given the topnotch performance of Kevin during the evening gown round. With her doll-like Asian features and the superb evening gown, Kevin is definitely deserving to the crown.
