Spyro’s Reignition Pushed Back to November

The return of the original PlayStation’s other classic platforming trilogy is going to be a little late. Developer Toys for Bob announced today that the release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy has been delayed to November 13, 2018. Originally slated for release on September 21, Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a highly-anticipated remake of the classic PlayStation titles Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. In a blog post on the Activision website, Toys for Bob Co-Studio Head Paul Yan stated the Reignited Trilogy needs more “love and care”.

This delay is the second piece of recent bad news surrounding the remake. Earlier this year it was revealed that physical copies of Spyro Reignited Trilogy would only contain one of the three remastered titles, requiring players to download the other two. Anger and rumors swirled following the news, but today’s delay seems to give credence to the theory that the second and third titles were behind schedule.
