How was it?

Surprisingly boring.

Wait, maybe boring isn't the best word for it.

I need a word that means "more boring" than the word "boring".

It's not like I was looking for a fist fight to break out.  It's just that they've all shown an ability to be pretty critical of the job performance and character of each other.

I still can't help but feel like the folks who showed up may have found the candidates to have a pretty good command of the facts behind what they might do if elected, but the character and past performance of these men should play a part in the decision making when it come time to vote.

Personally, I also found it a bit distracting to have the debate in a food court facility, but that's just me and my grumbling tummy.

Personal attacks were taken off the table by the moderators of the event, The League of Women Voters.

I have a lot of respect for what I've seen them do in the past.

In this case, I feel like any public forum in wich we use to get to know the candidates for such an important elected position should be open and civilized, but should not be constrained.

This is only the second debate and I expect there to be more before the election.

I don't know how you feel about it, but wake me when they get tossed into a cage match.  I'm not sure if time in an MMA Octagon would prove anything as far as who might be the best choice for Sheriff, but what the heck, I fee like this debate didn't do it either.
