BY LUKAS There are a plenty of amazing Hikes around New Zealand, that are famous around the world. As with many things, the most hyped things are not necessarily always the best. We wanted to compile a list our most favorite hikes in New Zealand. This is the first part, where we talk about the hikes that you maybe don’t know about, but you definitely should. 1. Mt. Holdsworth Jumbo Circuit Located only a short drive north of Wellington in Tararua Forest Park, this is one of the really well-hidden jams of the North Island. The 24km loop takes you over a beautiful ridge. Tararuas are known for being incredibly windy so be prepared for the elements. There are two huts along the way, both just below the mountain top if you want to split the hike into multiple days. It is also quite easy to do it all at once.
