My wife and I took my Mother back to Oahu in May. My Father was stationed there in 1959 right after they were married. We were on the move every day and saw a lot of sights including the house where they lived. Information from your page was used extensively in planning our trip. Attached is one of 1400+ photos that we took. It is looking at Diamond Head from the Tantalus Lookout.
What a special trip that must have been!
David mentioned Tantalus Drive, which is a very scenic drive through a jungle in Honolulu. Puu Ualakaa State Wayside Park offers a wonderful view of Honolulu and is located off Tantalus/Round Top road. This drive and park are worth planning into your Oahu vacation itinerary.
