The main reason and highlight of our Italy trip was the wedding of my brother, Zsolt, and my since-then-sister-in-law, Zsóka. During one of their previous trips they both fell in love with Portovenere so much, that they decided to have their big day and say yes (or maybe “si”?) here. As an addition to the official photographer’s work I also spent some time taking a few pictures in the background and I decided to share my favourite ones on the blog.
Olaszországi utunk legfőbb oka és egyben fénypontja bátyám, Zsolt, és azóta-sógornőm, Zsóka esküvője volt. Egy előző nyaralásuk során tetszett meg mindkettőjüknek Portovenere annyira, hogy végül úgy döntöttek, ide szervezik a nagy napot és itt mondják ki a boldogító igent (vagyis inkább “si”-t?). Aznap a hivatalos fotós mellett én is kattogtattam picit, és úgy döntöttem, hogy egy külön blogbejegyzésben osztom meg a világgal a kedvenc képeimet.
Ingredients for a wedding in Italy: one couple, 11 guests, Hungarian priest arriving from Rome (this way you can say “yes” instead of “si”), turquoise sea, extreme heat, tourists in Bathing Suits, tourists in bathing suits staring at us very surprised, locals staring at us very surprised and shouting “Auguri! Auguri!”, Church of Saint Peter – a stone church built in the 12th century on the top of some cliffs, more tourists who try to visit the church even during the ceremony, boat trip with our own captain, tasty dinner at the Palmaria Restaurant, wine, more wine and a lot of joy and cheerfulness. Here’s the evidence (ok, I don’t actually have photos of the dinner and wine part of the day, because at this point everyone was focusing on the food and the conversations):
Hozzávalók egy olaszországi esküvőhöz: egy összeadandó majd összeadott pár, 11 vendég, Rómából érkező magyar pap (így mégsem kell “si”-t mondani “igen” helyett), türkizkék tenger, rekkenő hőség, fürdőruhás turisták, násznépet bámuló fürdőruhás, csodálkozó turisták, násznépet bámuló, csodálkozó, “Auguri! Auguri!”-t kiabáló helyiek, Chiesa di San Pietro névre hallgató, sziklára épült 12. századi kőtemplom, további turisták, akik még a szertartás alatt is megpróbáltak bejutni a templomba, hajókirándulás saját kapitánnyal, ízletes olasz vacsora a Palmaria étteremben, bor, még több bor és hatalmas vidámság.
