Okay the thermometer does reach triple digits during summer months but the AC and misting keeps you cool as you chill out in a setting  of impressive mountains and non-stop happy hours, events and dining experiences (especially at Lulu's). What's more as the temperature rises, rates drop to their lowest. From Memorial Day weekend and on there are lots of options to keep you occupied:

Memorial Day at the Living Desert Zoo & Gardens
The Living Desert will celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May 29. All active duty, reserve and retired U.S. military personnel, police officers, firemen, EMTs and up to six members of their families will receive 50% off admission with proper identification.

Palm Springs Air Museum Memorial Day
Each Memorial Day, this year Monday May 10-4 p.m. the museum commemorates the important role of those who fought in World War II with a flower drop from the museum’s B-25 aircraft. Thousands of white and red carnations represent those who gave the greatest sacrifice — their lives — for their country. Memorial Program and Flower Drop scheduled for 1:00 PM.
