Another season over at Quex Holiday Park

What a wonderful summer we have had with the balmy weather continuing into October. Many new visitors have been welcomed onto our touring Park and a number of new holiday home owners have also taken advantage of the long sunny days. With the end of the season upon us our owners have been closing up their holiday homes for the winter period; mindful in case another cold spell hits, similar to the one we had earlier this year. On this note can we remind our owners that if they wish to come and check on their home out of season they need to contact the park in advance.

We are delighted to have retained our Gold David Bellamy Conservation Award and continue to be a Bee Friendly park. Having received our Hedgerows Award last year in the ‘5 Habitats in 5 Years’ project we are pleased we have also now gained our Wildflower Award, the second habitat in the 5 year scheme. This year we decided to create a short film of the assessment when it took place one lovely, sunny July day. It has proved to be really popular and if you haven’t yet seen the film you can do so by clicking here.

During September and October we held a Wildlife Photography Competition, inviting guests to take photos of the wildlife they saw on the park. The winning photographer received a voucher and their wildlife image was displayed on our new notice board, opposite reception. We plan on holding another wildlife photography competition during next summer for both touring and holiday home owners. However, in the meantime if you have any pictures of our park wildlife we would love to put them in our album.

The falconry ladies were, unfortunately, not able to make it for August Bank Holiday this year. Hopefully, if the weather permits they plan to be here at Easter instead.

We trust you all enjoy a cosy winter and look forward to welcoming you back in the Spring.

P.S. If you happen to be in the area this weekend why not visit the ‘Marvel-ous’ Bonfire & Firework Event at Quex Park on Saturday 3rd November 2018. Click here for details.
