What to do on Father’s Day in Kent

One of Kent’s unmissable events this Father’s Day Weekend is being hosted at Hever Castle. The event is being run by Alfra Romeo Owners Club and Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain and is to include a display of classic cars and supercars, as well as fun activities for younger ages. Over the course of the weekend there will be food available, with barbeques, pizza and hog roast alongside more hearty options in the Castle’s two restaurants – enough choice to please the whole family. There will also be a range of ice creams and cakes.

For more ‘adult’ themes and entertainment why not head to the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury on Saturday night (16th June) to see the biggest names in stand-up, LIVE. A great way to kick off the weekend and celebrate Father’s Day before Sunday comes around. Milton Jones from Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo is headlining, joined by stars Shappi Khorsandi and Fin Taylor.

Why not treat your Dad to a Tour of Biddenden Vineyard this Father’s Day? The cost of tours is just £1 per person, forming a donation for Dandelion Time Charity. The tours are to last approximately 45 minutes, giving background on the history of the vineyard, the cider and wine making process as well as a free tasting of Biddenden Vineyards selection of wines, ciders and juices. With only a £1 charitable donation, what is not to love?

Another event running on the 16th/17th weekend is the Fought for Freedom Military Show at Quex Park, not far from our Quex Holiday Park. This is an annual event, but this year has a new and exciting twist. It is commemorating the 100-year anniversary of the end of WW1. Over the two days attractions include; The Tigers Junior Motorcycle Display Team, an assault course, visiting the WW1 trenches, live music and much more to be released! This Military Show is ideal for the whole family, Dads and Grandads, you are even allowed to bring along your dog!

We hope you enjoy your weekend whatever your plans are, and if you have any other ideas or activities, please let us know!
