WOMAD is a most embracing festival with all age groups and races dancing together and appreciating great world music. As we gathered hopes, we could hear diverse talent from every corner of the globe. If only our national radio stations would take note!
While pruning the Tree4Hope at the end of the festival, we were so touched to receive this lovely message:
‘Like ephemeral creatures, they are woven in to the magic that is their tree. Created by hopes and wishes, they guide it gently on its way. Linking threads across the world and reminding us that we are all joined by the energy we create. Lucie and Lachie seem a perfect match for all they represent making us smile and reminding us to hope, to dream and to believe. So when the rains fall and the words run into tomorrow and the paper becomes hopes still to be created, we will feel our wings flex and free and we too can soar into the future.’
