Lobster Lunch at The Galley Fish Hoek Cape Town

This is one of the most memorable meals during our recent trip to Cape Town South Africa. Welcome to Fish Hoek in Cape Town, a beautiful coastal town in South Africa. You can find many fresh local seafood such as lobster in Cape Town. What is better than having lobster lunch in a popular local restaurant called The Galley at Fish Hoek Cape Town.

To be honest, Cape Town is one of the most beautiful places we visited so far. If you ask us is it worth it to travel to Cape Town? Our answer is a definite YES.

The Galley is located on the beach side and the view here is amazing. We wish we have more time to chill on the beach after the lunch.

We started off the lunch with Lobster Bisque. It comes with creamy texture, strong flavours from the rock lobster and hints of the herbs and spices.

South Africa is also popular for its fresh oysters and we ordered 10 fresh oysters for sharing.  You can’t complain for enjoying these delicious fresh oysters with a pinch of lemon.

The main star of the lunch is the lobster platter. It comes with TWO rock lobster with fried seafood kebab, fried calamari and chips.

When it comes to lobster, there are two ways of cooking that preserves the natural taste of the meat. It is best to grill or to steam the lobster.

Their grilled lobster brings out the natural flavour with rich texture. If you want stronger flavour, you can complement with the butter garlic sauce. It takes a while to finish two lobster. Don’t forget, there are fried seafood kebab and fried calamari and they are crispy and tasty too.

After lunch, we took a brisk walk at the beach and like we mentioned earlier, the view here is spectacular. This is Fish Hoek in Cape Town and the lobster lunch was good and it’s a must if you visit this part of the world.
