We recently had a staycation at Double Tree by Hilton Sukhumvit during Songkran (water festival) and we enjoyed our stay. The location of the hotel is at Sukhumvit 26 which is just a stone throw away from The Emporium, The Emquartier and BTS Phrom Phong Station. Thus, it is very convenient to take the BTS train or shop and dine at The Emporium or The Emquartier.

Like any Double Tree hotels around the world, they will serve you their signature Chocolate Cookies. It is a tummy warming welcome snack ‘cum’ appetizer before you checked in the hotel.

The Room

The hotel offers over 177 rooms and the design of the room is a blend of elegant and classy. The room is spacious and we love the cozy ambience thanks to the dim lighting.

We stayed two nights and we had really good sleep on the King size bed. The best part is it is really quiet at night so we had peaceful nights.

The room comes with universal power points so you don’t have to worry about bringing a travel adapter. This is really convenient for travellers to charge their phone, tablet or laptop.

The bathroom on the other hand is more elegant with the marble-toned tiles. It comes with a huge bathtub and easily fits two persons. Hence, there is a see thru glass from the bathtub to the bedroom. This room is ideal for single traveller or couples.

The Pool

During Songkran Festival, there is the Songkran Pool Party in the hotel. We went there and check it out and it was packed with people. You might consider staying in this hotel during Songkran Festival next year.

Breakfast at Dee Lite

This is one breakfast you should not missed if you stay in Double Tree by Hilton Sukhumvit. They have a good selection of local and International cuisine at Dee Lite.

You will be spoilt for choices and breakfast is opened from 6 am to 10 am daily. What we like is the choices of fruits and juices available. Nowadays, you need healthy breakfast for the day.

Buffet Dinner at Dee Lite

When sun goes down, Dee Lite offers buffet dinner at a reasonable price. They have a good selection of seafood and it is eat all you can.

The Japanese section comes with selections of tempura and sushi.

What we like about the dinner buffet is their service and also the quality of the food. Not forgetting overall the food is delicious and they replenished the food fast.

If you are big fan of dinner buffet, you should book your table at Dee Lite in Double Tree by Hilton Sukhumvit.

Overall, we loved our stay in Double Tree by Hilton Sukhumvit. They are strategically located near shopping malls and BTS station so we saved a lot of money by taking the train and did heaps of shopping. We enjoyed the Pool Party, something extra we didn’t expect from the hotel. Not forgetting also the good food at Dee Lite and the trademark amazing hospitality and service. We don’t mind coming back again.
