These are the flags of The Canary Islands.
As you can see, the Tenerife Flag looks very much like the Flag of Scotland, there are a few stories of to why this is, so take your pick.
1. When Nelson was defeated at the Battle of Santa Cruz, the Scottish flag was adapted to show
respect for the Scottish Sailors during the battle.
2. That there were wealthy Scottish Merchants who were also Masons and they thought that Tenerife
needed a Flag, so decided to make their flag that of Tenerife's.
3. That the blue background is the colour of the sea and the white is the snow on Mt.Teide.
