New York Film Festival 2015 – Lincoln Center from September 25–October 11.  Ticket Prices:  $20 – $50+

Atlantic Antic – Brooklyn on Sunday, September 27.  FREE

NYC’s largest street fair, Atlantic Antic, closes down ten blocks of Brooklyn with more than 500 food and craft vendors and 10 stages.  The massive selection of food and drink goes great with the local music entertainers.  This festival is the 40^th annual, so expect Atlantic Antic to be an event to remember.  As the saying goes, “Eat it at the Antic, Walk it off on Atlantic!”

Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park – Fort Tryon Park, Washington Heights on Sunday, October 4 2015. FREE

Travel back in time to the Middle Ages this fall when Fort Tryon Park is transformed into a medieval market town for the 31st Annual Medieval Festival.  Take in the scene with authentic minstrels, dancing, magic, jesters, foods and of course mead to quench the thirst.  Four knights joust it out on horseback to finish off a magical day.

Watch sculptor Ray Villafane from the Food Network’s Outrageous Pumpkins Challenge transform some massive pumpkins and squash into scary good carnivorous plant creature.  Last year’s Giant Pumpkin Carving Weekend saw some of the country’s largest pumpkins carved and sawed into a life-size zombie, snakes, spiders, and more.  The pumpkin carvings become sculptures for the New York Botanical Garden’s Haunted Pumpkin Garden each fall.

New York Comedy Festival at various locations from Wednesday, November 11 2015 – Sunday, November 15 2015.  Ticket Prices: $45 – $150
