Bora Bora is an Island in the French Polynesia . French Polynesia is an overseas territoryin the Pacific Ocean under the French rule. Bora Bora is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. The island only has about 8,800 people (August 2007) As the island is too small to hold any large industry, the island’s main industry is tourism. Several resorts have been built in the past few years surrounding the lagoon.
