The Real Marvel Superhero Stan Lee Dies At The Age Of 95

Stan Lee, the patriarch of marvel Comics died at the age of 95 on 12th November 2018.

The most influencing writer of his time, he was and will always be known and remembered for his works in the form of his superhero comic creations that revolutionized the world of comics along with hitting serious and seldom spoken about social issues within his comics. While DC comics enjoyed an unchallenged monopoly in the world of comics with their superheroes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Green Lantern, Stan Lee had ushered in an era of new superheroes that were flawed human beings like all others and showed their gradual progress in dealing with daily issues and problems that any normal person encounters. What made his works dearer to the readers was his ability to connect with them through his characters by making them just like any other normal person in the real world. He imagined and painted a much more beautiful world that we couldn’t have comprehended without the aid of his Marvel superheroes.

His superheroes included the much popular Spider-Man, Iron Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Hulk amongst many others. While DC comics had mostly portrayed their superheroes fighting crime in fictional cities and countries, Stan Lee had taken the next step by giving residence to many of the superheroes in the heart of New York City. All these superheroes used to lead a normal life like any other person in the world with their faults and troubles but the comics eventually showed how they changed their lives and helped others through their superpowers. This allowed the readers to connect with the heroes, imagine themselves in their shoes and imagine a better world for themselves and gain inspiration to improve their lives and help others. That was the main aspect ofMarvel comics that revolutionized the world with all the readers both young and adult becoming a fan of Stan Lee and the superheroes that he gave birth throughout the years.

Earlier in 2018, Stan Lee had revealed that he was fighting pneumonia which finally led to his unexpected death on 12th November at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California where he was rushed to due to a medical emergency.

The death has left a void in the hearts of all Marvel fans to whom he was the only escape from the real world into the imaginative world where good triumphs over evil always, leaving the readers with a smile on their face always at the end of the comic book.

During an interview with BBC Radio Scotland back in April ahead of the release of Infinity War, co-director Joe Russo had indicated that Stan Lee had already shot his cameo for Avengers 4 that is scheduled to release the next year.

According to Joe Russo, He’s the godfather of a lot of these stories, him and Jack Kirby…So, Stan, typically we try to get him out, he doesn’t love to fly, so we try to get him out for his cameos around the same time. So if we have other movies shooting on the same lot that we’re on, for instance, Ant-Man [and the Wasp] or Avengers 4, we group his cameos together and then move him from one set to the next and get him through his cameos in one day. He’s great. He’s a blast to have on set and everybody loves it. And he seems to engender a really warm response from the audience when he comes on the screen.”

Maybe Stan Lee is the only superhero that Thanos would want to bring back with his Time Stone. If only that was possible!

The world mourns his death along with his loved ones. The world of comics can never be the same in his absence.
