Luxury Apartments – The most expensive in the world

Luxury Apartments: We pick the best

Ever wondered which are the best Luxury Apartments in the world? We show you the most expensive and most luxurious apartments across the globe.

Sky Penthouse, Odeon Tower, Monaco

This penthouse is located in a brand new skyscraper, the first built in Monaco in 30 years. This Luxury apartment is situated 170 metres up and is the most expensive apartment ever, priced at $400 million.

This penthouse has 38,000 square feet of space and has 5 whole levels! The most impressive feature is definitely the water slide which extends from the dance floor, right into the infinity pool below. The apartment will come with a chef, chauffeur, a 24 hour concierge and access to a health club.

One Hyde Park

The top apartment in this Hyde Park development sold in 2010 for a cool £140 million.

The development features SAS trained security guards and a tunnel to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, where room service is provided by a celebrity chef. Car-maker McLaren is also said to feature a car showroom on the ground floor.

Closely situated to the apartment block are shops like Harrods and Harvey Nichols.

Security also includes bullet proof glass, a panic room and an air purifier to stop any poison gas attacks.

One57 Apartments, New York City

This luxury apartment block sits above the five-star Park Hyatt New York. Each apartment comes fully furnished and provides stunning views overlooking the New York skyline and Central Park.

Daily housekeeping can be provided as well as in-residence dining from the ground floor hotel.

Luxury apartments in this building have sold for over $90 million. The very top floors have sold for undisclosed amounts. For this reason the apartment block has been named as the “Billionaire Building”.

432 Park Avenue, New York City

432 Park Avenue is the tallest residential apartment block in the Western Hemisphere. At 1396 feet, it is actually taller than the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building.

Apartments start from $7 million but can stretch up to $95 million for the penthouse. Highlights in these apartments include 10 foot by 10 foot windows and a climate controlled wine seller, at an additional cost of $320,000.

A spa is also being added to the building, as well as a massage therapy room and 75 ft pool.

Opus Apartment Penthouse, Hong Kong

The Opus Apartment block is renowned for the twisting architecture, designed by architect Frank Gehry. There are 12 penthouses in total, each with their own private pool.

The average cost of a luxury apartment in this block is $60 million, which is understandable when you can look out across the whole of Hong Kong from the hillside.

The top floor apartment measures 5,444 square feet and includes a rooftop terrace, complete with jacuzzi.
