Turquoise beaches and romance on the white sands of Isles

Celebrations just never end in our life and every day, knowingly or unknowingly, all of us end up being a part of it. And when it comes to inviting a new person to celebrate throughout the rest of the life, more of it keeps happening and after the marriage had been over, I and my wife had been taken over by a number of family functions where we had been fed with a lot of food that the increased pounds of weight had to be shredded and there was nothing more appropriate we could decide on than a honeymoon trip so that we could escape from more eating for a while. We sat together and decided on the several places but somehow we did not feel like certain places were worth the money and finally got to a place where we decided to visit the Andaman islands. The Thalassophiles in us were pretty much in for the adventure in the sea and hence set off together on an Andaman honeymoon Package to the Island all the way from Cochin after everything had been booked through Andaman tour travel, a tour agency, who helped us plan our three days of the tour.

Day 1 of our journey

Apparently, we had reached during the night and the next day morning we were bound to the Havelock island where the first day of our tour had been planned. From Port Blair, the ferry was boarded where we spend over two hours travelling the sea. That is when we realised that the cruises for three days had begun. As we reached we were picked up by the driver and taken to Asia’s most famous Beach, Radhanagar. When we travelled in the car, we felt like the place was more like countryside but beautifully maintained. And on walking along the beach shore, we were under the impression that this was how every beach was supposed to look like. It was how we would have loved the Fort Cochin Beach in our native. There was no oil spill or plastic wastes and the sea seemed to be see through as well. We played around and talked our heart out as we walked along the white sand.  A bamboo decored restaurant was close by from where we sat and sipped some fresh juices and light sandwiches. After we had captured enough of Radhanagar, we were driven to the Elephant Beach. The beach was where we had been booked with a snorkelling expedition. We were both swimmers and hence nothing could excite us more than an underwater journey. Not a lot of people had reached in their timed session and hence we were lucky enough to not wait. Wearing the suits that were handed to us, we dived along with the instructor and moved slow and steady through the water. The coral reefs and tiny aquatic beings spread the magic that we had never expected to see. It was quick and 20 minutes of this made our whole day. We got the ferry back to Port Blair by evening where we stayed for the night.

Day 2 at Andaman

The day was spend at the capital of the Island where we first visited Samudrika Marine Museum. It housed a number of aquatic animals which we had never seen in our life before. Some kids had been playing by the aquarium by feeding the fishes in it. Once we had been around the museum, we visited the Cellular Jail. Even though not much of a romantic place to be at, this place marks a memory of any student who has studied history. With the impact of having watched the movie Kalapani on the television recently, we walked along the cells inside and also witnessed the light and sound show which gave us the patriotic goosebumps. And after lunch, we got to the Corbyn Coves Beach which was the final place for the day. The couple rides here were new to us due to which we hopped on for a banana boat ride. We got our sunset from the beach and after that was over, we proceeded for our fancy candlelight dinner. An amazing dinner by the beach became the best of food and time we had had after marriage devoid of all the dinner nights at Cochin. The night was hence marked the best of Andaman days.

Day 3 or final day of the tour

Our journey proceeded as we woke up to the sun and the driver made way to the Baratang Island. A long journey took us to the place where the first activity we got into was a boat cruise through the Mangrove forests. 20 minutes amidst the forests was one heck of an experience. We reached the limestone caves after a small trekking expedition and the guide who had been there walked us through the caves explaining to us every detail of information he had. The patterns of the rock were such that where we could imagine people and animals being formed through each of it. Almost half of the day was spent from the place and then we proceeded to see Mud Volcano. This was also something new that we had never seen at Cochin or anywhere else. We were walked to the place and got to witness the volcanoes taking place. And with that natural wonder, we were done with the traverse of our Andaman tour package from Cochin where we got back all the way to Port Blair.
The travel has worked pretty much for us where along with shredding a lot of our gained pounds, we also had a lot of fun along with the romantic pictures we captured from each destination. Three days passed in a blink of an eye and we wanted more days of Andaman. Time constraints sure made us pack our bags and with the happiness the souvenirs gave us, we decided to get back where the driver dropped us at the Veer Savarkar airport and we thanked him for a good journey he had taken us on. When we had been sitting in the lounge, we noticed a number of honeymooners who had been returning back to the hometowns after their days of celebration. Hence, the Island seemed to place that departs a lot of people with a lot of happiness in the form of memories they get to take back on being at the destination.
