My October 2018 summarized in smartphone photos (Huawei Mate 20 pro + VSCO cam)

Is it me, or did October fly by? Anyhow, time for another summary of my month in smartphone photos. This is a bit of a special one since I changed from my Huawei P20 Pro to a Huawei Mate 20 Pro. However, I still use VSCO for editing all of them. Let’s get into it!

Visiting Ghent

With a girlfriend living there, it’s not unusual these days for me to be in the second most beautiful city in Belgium. This time, however, I really laughed out loud in the middle of the street. This is photo is made at a place I always park my car. It’s cheap and close to my GF’s place. All of a sudden, there was this herd of sheep grazing there. Apparently, the city of Ghent uses these sheep to keep the grass in their city short and allow little creatures living in the grass to escape, rather than being mauled into a machine. Oh, and yes I tried to pet them. No, they did not allow me to touch them.

Breakfast at Tinsel in Antwerp

I’m not really a breakfast person unless it’s made for me. At home I rarely have breakfast. The only times I eat it is at hotels, at friends and when I feel like going out to a place that serves it. I had the Tinsel pancakes. Omnomnom!

Find Tinsel in Antwerp.

Huawei launch event in London

The kind people at Huawei invited me to the launch event of their Mate 20 (pro) devices in London. Obviously, I took this chance! From now on, I am photographing with my Mate 20 pro, instead of my P20 pro.

Exploring London (with the Mate 20 Pro)

When in London… you walk around a lot and take photos of the things you see. Like the London Eye.

Hello, Westminster.

A famous part of London to visit is of course Westminster.

Street photography with the Mate 20 Pro

A bit of candid street photography is never out of place in big cities like London.

The Shard

Unfortunately, as you can see in the photo, there was too much mist. So I didn’t go to the top, but I loved taking photos around the buildings with the misty feel.

Eating at Pizza Union

My friend David is a big pizza fanatic, so when he recommended eating at Pizza Union, it was natural to actually go there. The pizza there is cheap and delicious! What more do you need to know?

Visiting Bruges

Bruges is probably the most famous city of Belgium. It’s really small, but tourists seem to love it. With my girlfriend, I decided to give it a visit too. Touristing in your own country is so much fun!

Boat riding in Bruges

In Bruges, it’s almost obligatory to take a ride in one of the many boats on the canals.

Protip: Go and sit at the rear of the boats. This way there is no one in your selfie-shots!

Again, in Ghent

I don’t really think I need to clarify this anymore.

IKEA lunch

It was a nightmare. Okay, maybe that is over exaggerated. I don’t like shopping in IKEA too long tho. But the food makes up for it!

Going around Leuven

Another Belgian city. I love the Begijnenhof, it’s a great place to photograph at.

Lunch at Black Smoke

Apparently, this is a star-restaurant in Antwerp. I didn’t know about the star until after my lunch there. I did know it was a very good meat restaurant. So yeah, I had to try it!

What did you do this past month? Let me know in the comments!
