The luxury Train of state known as “Palace on Wheels” is offering valuable experience to treasure forever and becoming more popular amongst overseas guests. The reality is that the other luxury trains of India are unable to survive even in peak season, whereas on other hands, The Palace on Wheels is jammed packed in even off season.
The situation is that all tour operators are struggling to get the seat in Palace on Wheels for their captioned Guests.

As per survey conducted by Palace on Wheels, all 41 cabins [81 tourists] were completely fully booked of this luxury Train [ Palace on Wheels], which departed from Delhi [ Safdarjung Railway Station] on Wednesday. The interesting thing is that out of 81 tourists, 60 tourists were British people.
This is good news for Rajasthan Tourism Board which has been derailed for few past years. Keeping in view this development, Rajasthan Tourism board did special kind of preparations to welcome/lure the passengers who arrived Jaipur on Thursday.
If we see entire scenarios of this season, the tourist burden on this luxury train jumped from 46 percent till 63 percent which is 17 percent more than old record.
According to General Manager of Palace on Wheels, Mr. Pradeep Bohra, the reasons behind this development are below given contributions.
- Effective tour program
- Focus given by government
- The dedication of all staffs who contributed during their duty
Because of above factors, this train is illuminating the name of Indian Railway as well as governments and board, hence making it a profit project of government and board concerned.
Recently, Palace on Wheels earned the award of “BEST LUXURY TRAIN” of the year 2017. Even in next coming of season, Palace on Wheels will depart with 55 tourists, even if in the state of its full capacity.
Apart from above, the other luxury trains known as Deccan Odyssey, Maharajas Express, Golden Chariot and stated owned Heritage Palace on Wheels have no business because of OFF seasons, hence they are non-operational.
