If you are a couple visiting London, you will be pleased to know that there are so many romantic things to do. You are spoilt for choice! Here is our round-up of some of the best things to do in the city:

Take a canal boat

Nothing is more romantic than being on the water, so why not hire a canal boat for the two of you. You can pair up with other couples and split the cost. In Merchant Square, you can hire an electric canal boat, or in east London, you can hire your own two-person canoe. You can do this any time of year but obviously Summer is going to be the best for the optimum conditions!

Pop up Cinema

Oh, in summer, what could be better than an outdoor cinema? There are many different open air cinemas in London. Just some of the best ones include:

The Nomad Cinema – a volunteer-run social enterprise, with 100% of profits going to The Sustainability Institute.

Rooftop Film Club – Experience cinema on rooftops in Peckham, Shoreditch and Stratford with a full bar is available at each location.

The Luna Cinema = This open-air cinema is holding 175 screenings all over the UK – this includes Four Weddings and a Funeral at Westminster Abbey, Dunkirk in Greenwich Park, and Jaws on a dinghy at Brockwell Lido. How fun!

Go for cocktails

There are so many places for cocktails in London, so depending on where you are staying, you can really enjoy some creative drinks with your other half. Try Basement Sate for deserts and cocktails!

Crazy Golf

Some competitive fun is always a great idea for a date. Our fave is Swingers West End – which is the second of its kind, with a nine-hole course which has been creatively designed. It’s at 15 John Prince’s Street, right by Oxford Street tube and costs start at £10.

Stay in a posh hotel

It’s a great idea to book into a hotel for a night or two when in London. This gives you the chance to see much more of London and experience a luxury hotel. Try Park Grand Kensington Hotel.

If you want Hotels near Craven Hill, you can enjoy this boutique hotel, situated in Hogarth Road, Kensington, near earl court exhibition centre and tube station.

Go swimming together

Why not try out one of the outdoor swimming pools for a romantic spot of swimming. One of our favourites is Brockwell Lido, which boasts an Olympic length pool and an indoor cycling studio – there is also an Art Deco Grade II-listed Lido Café for something to eat or drink afterwards.

Have a picnic in the park

There are so many places to choose from if you want a romantic picnic! There are over 111 parks to choose from – as well as a few secret gardens. You can pack a hamper up and a couple of glasses for some bubbly – the perfect romantic treat!
