5 Ways to Dress Comfortably While Traveling

Comfort is key for me when I”m traveling! Although I try and look put together while I’m on the road, I’ve never been one of those girls that wears heels the whole time I’m Traveling. As much as I admire those women, my feet just can’t handle it!

If you have a long Journey to make, comfort is vitally important. Regardless of whether the trip is by train, car or plane if you are uncomfortable the journey will feel twice as long. There is no longer any formality for when you are traveling, and you should put your own comfort before anything else.

1. Pants With Room

Don’t wear a pair of tight pants as the longer you sit in them the tighter they will feel. They will start to cut into your waist and get uncomfortable around your backside, and if you are like that for hours you will be regretting your decision.

2. Comfy Footwear

Your footwear needs to be able to slip on and off your feet with ease. There’s nothing worse than being in the TSA Security line behind someone with laced shoes on. During summer months, I normally wear sandal slides with socks on to breeze through security, but you could even take a pair of heel slippers in your bag so that once you are seated you can have something that is really comfortable on your feet.

It will take a few seconds to change back to your shoes when it is time to get off whatever transport you are on.

3. A Lightweight Coat or Hoodie

One thing is for sure, that no matter where you are traveling chances are the airport you’re flying into or out of will be cold. To avoid being too warm or cold while traveling, bring a lightweight coat or sweatshirt. I personally always travel with a sweatshirt because I use it as a pillow if I’m not cold on the plane.

4. Scarf

A scarf will help to keep you warm until you are in whatever mode of transport you are using, and then can be used as a cushion if you want to doze, or as a blanket, if you get a bit chilly. Scarves are a very flexible item of clothing and as well as being useful can be used to make sure you still look good.

If you are heading for a colder climate, a scarf can be used to wrap around your head too. Then your ears will not feel the shock of suddenly being in a much colder place.

5. A Big Bag With An Outside Pocket

A big bag will be the most useful item to can take on your travels. You can put snacks and drinks in it as well as any medication if you need it. It can hold wipers, your phone and anything else that will help to pass the time of your journey. If you use one with an outside pocket that is easily accessible but does up too, you can have your passport handy for when you are going through customs control.

Anything valuable can be kept in the main part of the bag and that is where your passport should be put once it has been scanned.

A long journey can be very exciting but also very tiring. Make the most of the time to relax, but that will only be possible if you are comfortable.
