Bardsea Leasuire Park, Ulverston

Bardsea Leasuire Park, Ulverston.

Nestled in an old quarry and within driving distance of the Lakes and walking distance of Ulverston centre this pituresque campsite sits.
Stayed August Bank Holiday 2017 we originally booked for Friday to Monday - on arrival we asked if we could stay an extra night which wasn't a problem !
This is a lovely, clean , well kept park with plenty of pitches for tents vans and also statics
There is also a sales area to buy caravans and motor homes too -they even offer 2 free nights after you buy to try your new van!
We arrived late tea time Friday once pitched we realised we had an issue with our heating and fridge we reported this to the office on Saturday am , to a LOVELY chap called Matt, not a problem he said and came and fixed it (gave us a new fuse) within minutes, even tho we hadn't bought our van there!
The park was quiet and we didn't really suffer any problems
All water waste and electric are on pitch aswell as satellite points
WE WOULD RECOMMEND LEAVING A DEPOSIT for free sat. Box etc.. £50 returnable , as the site is an old quarry tv signal was frustrating !!
Yes the pitches are narrow for turning but we just un- hitched and pushed it onto pitch
Yes there is smoke when people use the bathrooms (WHICH ARE THE MOST CLEANEST AND MOST COMFORTABLE IVE EVER USED) but this was minimal
Yes there is a man on a little tractor but it's not that noisy and he's very busy working helping other visitors etc
All bin bays are clean tidy and emptied regularly
The waste is clean and tidy And easy to use
The park is nice and tidy and great for kids although we didn't bring any children it is far from the pitches themselves and a bit close to the main entrance and rd so supervising your children may suit.
A local co op is 5 mins walk away selling all you need
And the old farmhouse pub/restaurant a further 2 mins away serves lovely food at fair prices it's not usual pub grub but it's fresh and good value for money
Two mains plus drinks cost us £30
The shop is huge and you can find anything you need for your caravan aswell as long life milk some snacks and kids products aswell as vending machines too
ALL STAFF were helpful and friendly as was the warden.
Overall a very pleasant stay

(NOT SITE RELATED)
We did venture in to ulverston on the Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday
Unfortunately no shops were open which was a shame!!
