The story of a caravan purchaser

Our new addition and the cause of our excitement and delight has arrived and has been christened this Bank Holiday just gone.
Originally we wanted a Bailey and had looked at many models. I was after what i call the old school set up double put up front bed, dinette and end bathroom. Jason was more into the fixed bed models and lets just say his idea of a budget was far higher than mine!!  our budget was for a starter van but with so many great deals out there and being close to end of season we had some wiggle room and I'm not afraid to ask for a discount and do a bit or bartering much to Jason's embarrassment.
We had been looking and looking for almost a year and I'd got to a point were i was really all caravaned out! All the vans started to look the same and I got to thinking anything would do at this stage.
This they say is were it happens.............
You know the thing?
You get to the point where you've had enough of looking and are just about to give up on the whole thing then there it is........ like the mirage in the dessert, that one model you've had in your head, the one you've been opening a beer in and enjoying the comforts of in your daydreams. You step inside and give eachother that look, open a few cupboards, mess with a few knobs and doors and sit on the comfy seats.
Then one of you finally says it  " I like this one, I like it alot, I think this is the one"
And after a few nods and agreements and tales of things you're going to do in the new holiday home on wheels, you're off to the sales room to see if your purse strings can stretch.

After some number puching, bartering ......(which i was very proud of)... and a Swift (parden the pun) handshake we were the proud owners  of a Swft Kudos!!

We'd left a list of things we wanted tweaking, fixing or added and off we went on our way,

Pendng credit check we tried our hardest not to get all giddy and excited on the drive home, the anticipation of a credit check was a wobble but before we even hit the motorway home, aphone call had confirmed our acceptance and the grinning began.
When asked when we wanted to collect and after my answer of tommorrow was laughed at we agreed and week and half later.
The time dragged and after what seemed like the longest week and a half later we arrived to take our van home
The after sales was great everything was checked by us , we spent an hour being talked throught he gadgets and gizmos, most of which we forgot, made some purchases in the shop and hitched up our new holiday home on wheels and way we went.................
Happy times are a coming!!!
