Go Goa !

Goa, India.

Beaches, Fresh air, Peace, Party, Leisure, Booze, you name it, the Goa’ns have it.

Goa has its very own charm from the rest of India. And we have seen tourists from all over the world coming Goa to fulfill their wild party feel or leisure feel.

If you are planning to visit this exotic destination, here I am listing the top points to keep in mind before you go.

Weather

Weather is soothing always. Goa has that different air you see. Still, visiting Goa from September to April is highly recommended. Temperature is moderate all the year round and that is why it attracts tourists from all over the world.

As from May to August there is Monsoon there, all the activities are closed at that time.

Accommodation

There are “n” numbers of Beach resorts,  Hotels, Guest houses, Lodges and Air Bnb available. Prior booking is recommended again as during Peak Seasons from November to New Year Eve, it becomes difficult to find place to stay of your choice. Google search according to your needs and get go.

North Goa & South Goa

Chunk antique jewelry, colorful Beach wears, tattoos ( temporary or permanent) is the theme of  Goa and heaven for Fashionistas.

There are some Bazaars and Exhibitions are organized during peak seasons from October to February, where exhibitors from Europe and other countries come and sell fashion clothes and jewelry. These Bazaars are organized at once or twice  a week at different beaches all over the Goa.

As far as security is concerned, Goa tops that list too. Your girl gang can safely reach at discs and night and local police is guarding there at every half kilometer of the whole area anytime 24 hrs. Even at night too, cops are there on roads.

Commuting

Goa is relatively a small state and can be traveled on two wheeler too. Two wheeler  & Cars are available on providing your valid Identity Proof to vendor. Do not forget to bring your valid Driver’s Licence. Local cops have check points and they seriously check your Id’s and Driving licence if you’re driving.

Food & Wines

Authentic Sea Food will be obviously in your to-do list of Goa. Other Veg, Non-Veg and food options are available at every corner of this beautiful place.

Fenny , is the local Wine, available in two flavors and readily available. Alcohol, being tax free in this state, is cheap and easily available at every restaurant and hangout places.

If you plan to take some local wine to your place while going back, please note that you are allowed to take maximum of 3 bottles of wine with you in your luggage. Any liquor in your hand luggage will be taken by the security staff.

Packing Tips

Sunscreen tops the list. Then, Tees, Shorts, Strap sandals, flip flops, comfortable shoes, sarong & beach wear for beaches. As Goans are very easy going , so you too go with the flow, make sure your fun part does not create any nuisance to the locals, as the local cops are very serious about the security issues of other tourists and Goans too.

Just be easy on yourself and others too. And you will love the Goa breeze.

Feel free to ask or add suggestions.

Happy Journey!
