As party season is upon us the added stress (and fun) of what one should wear creeps in.

Do you recycle something you already have worn?
Frantically search for something new?
Order a load of new outfits knowing fully well you’re to stick to your favourite or do you just stare at your wardrobe until something new materialises?

I don’t know about you but I find the whole shopping process exhausting these days. Having worked in retail for a good five years has made me an online shopping addict and the excitement when your parcel is delivered is a little slice of heaven.

When it comes to Occasion wear, you have to question the occasion and where it is. Is there a theme, a style or a dress you have to stick to? Or is it as simple as ‘smart casual’. That should be the deciding factor when choosing your outfit.

December Weddings

I’m heading to a Christmas wedding this year and of course, I’m going to recycle something I feel comfortable in and of course to save a little money to get my make up done instead. But the best way to update an outfit is through accessories. Not only do they last longer, they can be worn on a variety of occasions again depending on the ‘brief’.

I was kindly gifted these gorgeous shoes and bag by Lace and Favour and I haven’t stopped staring at them. They’re higher than what I usually go for but sometimes you have to go high or go home.

Satin and glitter

They are made from the most gorgeous satin and the glitter block heel adds a glam touch (and stability. I’ll be wearing these with a co-ord or dress on my friend’s big day and I know I’ll be wearing them time and time again. They’ll even look great on holiday for destinations like Vegas and New York for those glam nights out. Best of all, the bag, pulls the outfit together, catches the light beautifully and is a reminder that accessories make the outfit.

When it comes to occasion wear, what is most important is that you feel good.
